The two had to be separated after a row over who should take a penalty escalated.

Neymar looks to put his issues with Edinson Cavani to bed, as reports out of Spain claim the Brazilian has apologized to the Uruguayan and his team-mates for their bust-up. Turmoil appeared to be on the horizon at PSG, but the Brazilian has acted quick to settle things down.

The South American aces argued on the pitch during the 2-0 win over Lyon in Ligue 1. The league leaders were awarded a penalty and the former Barca star wanted a shot at converting from the spot, but Cavani refused in an embarrassing on-the-pitch disagreement.

L’Equipe later wrote that the two continued their row even after the final whistle. Team-mates had to step in, namely captain Thiago Silva, as they had to be held apart after things got heated.

Sport then offered more juicy claims, writing that the Selecao ace demanded the former Napoli forward be sold. One of Neymar’s biggest reasons for leaving Camp Nou was to become the biggest name in world football and was thus reportedly unwilling to share the limelight with Cavani.

The PSG striker was, as a result, linked with a move to the Premier League. Chelsea and Everton are reportedly interested, whilst a return to Partenopei was mentioned.

However, the end of PSG’s Neymar-Cavani-Mbappe attacking trio might not be year, as the 25-year-old has extended an olive branch. Things might not be back to normal between the South American stars, but there was no sign of tension between the two during Thursday’s training session.
