When it comes to Serie A players, their salaries are not as high as you might expected for a top league. After getting used to the mammoth paycheck Neymar will get at PSG, wages paid by Serie A teams seem kind of modest, but impressive anyways for the regular Joe.

An investigation by Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport revealed a list of the Top 15 salaries in Serie A, including both players and coaches. As surprising as it may be, some of the top tier's most recognizable faces around the world are not among the top 3 earners, while the best paid player in the Italian league might be a bit of a shock to some.
