Brazilian club Gremio and current AC Milan star Ronaldinho have agreed terms, RBS TV confirmed on Wednesday evening. A transfer for Ronaldinho from Italy to Gremio will see his 2-year spell with the Rossoneri come to an end.
It is believed that the Brazilian star, formerly the world’s best player, has been struggling to cope with the presence of newcomers Ibrahimovic and Robinho. Now, as Sampdoria’s Antonio Cassano looks well on his way to join AC Milan, the alert for Ronaldinho to quit the San Siro is ringing higher.

On Wednesday, Gremio President Paulo Odone spoke to RBS TV about the deal involving the Brazilian club and the 30-year-old star player. Odone declared:

“Concerning Gremio and Ronaldinho, everything is already set. The only thing that remains now is for [Ronaldinho’s agent] Roberto de Assis to negotiate the release of the player from AC Milan.

“What is more important, though, is that Ronaldinho wants to return to Gremio – the place where he learned his football and the place where is house is.”

Ronaldinho was brought to Milan from Barcelona back in 2008 after the club signed him for €18.5M. However, the attacking midfielder never really lived up to expectations although Wikipedia affirm that he scored some 20 goals for the Rossoneri in 65 appearances.

Returning to Brazil with Gremio could offer Ronaldinhon – whose form has been lost since the past years – a wonderful end to his career which used to be particularly bright.
