The Spanish giants will rekindle their rivalry in the United States for the first time, but a few key players could miss the game.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are gearing up for a highly-anticipated game in United States. The two European giants will lock horns in El Clasico, with the epic rivalry being hosted in Miami this time.

Both sides have been taking part in the International Champions Cup, with the Blaugrana winning their last two games and Los Blancos losing in as many matches. Their third clash will see them lock horns with each other.

Fans will be eager to see both club’s field their strongest starting XI; unfortunately, a few key names could miss out on this game. Here’s a look at the available and unavailable players.

The players who have traveled to Miami

MSN –Messi, Suarez, and Neymar – are all in United States and have featured in the clashes with Juventus and Man United. The attacking trio could start against Real Madrid to tear their rivals’ defense apart.

Elsewhere, Javier Mascherano, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta, and new signing Nelson Semedo are all with the squad.

Sergio Ramos is with the first-team, joining up with the likes of Bale, Modric, Casemiro, Marcelo, and Benzema.

Will Cristiano take part?

Most likely, no. However, this is not a definite “no” to playing against the Blaugrana. Stephen Ross, whose company Relevent runs the event, admitted that his hopes of seeing the four-time Ballon d’Or winner is decreasing by the day, but there remains a chance of the 32-year-old playing in Miami.

“We’ve reached out, we’ve done everything,” Ross said, according to the Miami Herald. “That weekend, he has some complex issues as you all know, back in Spain. I’ve got a plane waiting. He hasn’t said finally no. We’ll probably know relatively soon.”

The Portuguese ace was given an extended holiday due to his Confederations Cup participation, the birth of his twins, and his upcoming tax fraud case in court.

Will Neymar get to star vs. Real Madrid?

This is another big question, with two things working against the Brazilian playing on the 29th. First off all is his rumored PSG move, meaning he could join the Ligue 1 giants before kick-off.

Second is his recent bust-up with team-mate Nelson Semedo which resulted in the Selecao ace storming out of training. The 25-year-old could be benched as punishment.

Who’s injured?

Sergi Roberto – he has a right adductor strain.
