The Barcelong president made remarks about the Brazilian's Camp Nou exit which the defender did not like.

Dani Alves has hit back at comments made by Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu regarding his shock exit from the La Liga giants last summer.

Bartomeu gave his thoughts on the cause of Alves’ Camp Nou departure to the press. During an interview with Diario Sport, Bartomeau named personal reasons only known to him, the full-back, and his personal manager as the real cause.

The 34 year old Brazilian then took to his social media to slam his former boss and his allegations. "Lies!" read the Twitter post. Also included was a link to the quote by the Barcelona board member:

"Dani does not have any problems with the board, he and I know exactly what his problem is, which is very personal and not sporty."

"He is a very nice guy, he signed three year but left after one."

Earlier in the year Alves had revealed that the board's "false and ungrateful" treatment of players led to his ultimate decision to leave the Catalan club last year.

The former Barca right-back was heavily linked with a Manchester City move where he would have linked up with former manager Pep Guardiola. However, the latest reports claim PSG have beaten the Premier League giants to the Brazilian’s signature.
