The Chilean ace remained tight-lipped but gave out a few details when asked about his future by a reporter.

Arsenal have suffered a huge blow in their hopes of retaining Alexis Sanchez. The Gunners are fighting a losing battle to keep hold of the Chilean ace with only one year remaining on his contract.

The FA Cup champions are working hard to get the former Barca man to put pen to paper on an extension. However, Sanchez reportedly wants out of the Emirates and will not sign a new deal.

Currently at the FIFA 2017 Confederations Cup, the 28-year-old has avoided questions about his future by insisting he is only focused on winning the title with his national side. After making the final courtesy of a victory over Portugal, a Sky Sports reporter asked the Chilean every Gooner has been wondering: will he leave Arsenal for Man City?

Asked whether he will be joining Claudio Bravo at the Etihad, Sanchez said: "Good question. Right now I'm focused on the Confederations Cup. When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don't know."

He was then asked if he had made a decision about his future amid the Arsenal exit speculation. Alexis’ response: "Yes it's clear but I can't tell you."

The Arsenal attacker has been a hit since arriving in north London, but another disappointing Premier League and Champions League campaign has reportedly been the last straw for the Copa America winner.

The biggest blow to Arsenal’s hopes was his last remark. The reporter asked the Gunners’ number 7 if he would be staying at the Emirates, to which he responded: “I don’t know”.

Sanchez is rumored to be close to a Man City move. The player has a good relationship with Citizens manager Pep Guardiola and would earn a huge pay-raise at the Etihad.
