Manchester United will host Arsenal this evening and Fergie is ready to enjoy the atmosphere of rivalry that exists between the two clubs.
With two games in hand, Manchester United are just a point behind the English Premier League’s current leaders Arsenal. A win for the Red Devils tonight will not only fire them at the top of the table, but also give them a great advantage over their rivals as the fight for the title continues.

Should they hit 34 points after Week 17, Manchester United will eventually have the opportunity to open a 5-point gap above the rest when all teams would have played the same number of matches. With Chelsea dropping a considerable amount of points recently, Arsenal have come back into the frame this season and Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson is relishing this side of the contest.

Sharing his views to the club’s official website ahead of the match at Old Trafford, the Scottish manager explained:

“The games, particularly four or five years ago, were so important because both of us were challenging for league titles. Chelsea have now come in, and it’s been ourselves and Chelsea over the last five years.

“Nonetheless, it’s Manchester United against Arsenal and the history of both teams always guarantees a match of intensity and, a lot of the time, controversy.

“I think Monday's game will be more or less the same because the pride and history of both clubs determines that.”

Manchester United are unbeaten so far in the English Premier League. Maintaining this record will be vital tonight.
