The German defender gave Liverpool the lead with an incredible finish just as time expired in the first half of Monday's game.

Out of nowhere, Emre Can presented his candidacy for the 2017 Puskas award. The German defender showed he is no stranger to scoring great goals, as he sent the ball into the top right hand corner of Watford's net.

Can's goal was his fifth this season, in what will go down in history as his best tally as a professional footballer. Can had only scored twice in 57 games prior to this season, where he's blossomed as a goal scorer under Jurgen Klopp.

The German defender also ended Watford's fine defensive display as hosts with his stunner.

But what stood out after his goal were some of the reactions. Klopp's face says it all!

Watford's supporters couldn't believe it either.

And finally, this is how fans and experts reacted on Twitter to his overhead goal.
