Here's the latest update on Gareth Bale's injury in El Clasico.

Real Madrid have provided the latest update on Gareth Bale's injury. The Welshman lasted only 35 minutes in last weekend's El Clasico before being subbed.

Bale is having one of his worst seasons at the club in recent times; he is just fresh from a three-month injury layoff. And  the latest injury comes at a time when Los Blancos have a busy schedule, which include a home and away duel against neighbours Atletico Madrid in the semi-final of the Champions League. The club released the following statement on their website:

"Following the tests carried out on Gareth Bale by the Sanitas Medical Services, the player has been diagnosed with a grade 2 injury in his left calf. His recovery will continue to be assessed."

Real Madrid, after losing to rivals Barcelona in El Clasico, are now under pressure to win all their remaining games if they are to clinch the league title. Bale is expected to miss the league games against Deportivo La Coruna, Valencia and Granada.
