Internazionale have already booked their place for the Last 16 of the competition. However, this doesn’t mean that there will be nothing to play for in Germany on Tuesday. The Champions League titleholders have something at stake in terms of the top spot in Group A.
Tottenham Hotspur have proven very strong in what is only their first ever Champions League campaign. Both teams have 10 points going into match-day 6 of the competition, and we are yet to know which team will take hold of the first position ahead of the draw for the Last 16.
So Werder Bremen vs Inter Milan is an important match for Rafael Benitez who has more to do to convince Internazionale fans that he is the right man for the job.
Interestingly, though, the ex-Liverpool boss has permitted himself to rest a few key players. The squad that is set to face Bremen on Tuesday night is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Paolo Orlandoni, Luca Castellazzi, Alberto Gallinetta
Defenders: Felice Natalino, Ivan Cordoba, Marco Materazzi, Javier Zanetti, Davide Santon, Cristiano Biraghi
Midfielders: Lorenzo Crisetig, Thiago Motta, MacDonald Mariga, Sulley Muntari, Obiora Nwankwo, Esteban Cambiasso
Forwards: Goran Pandev, Samuel Eto’o, Ludovic Biabiany, Simone Dell’Agnello
