Another round of games in the Premier League have gone by. However, sadly, five of the top six teams in England weren’t in action this weekend.
Man City, Arsenal, and Tottenham all played in the FA Cup, booking their spot in the semi-final. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Man United will face off on Monday for a place in the last 4.
Nonetheless, several thrilling games occurred, with Liverpool and Everton both playing over the weekend. Here are a few interesting stats from the latest games.
This happened for the 1st time in the Premier League in 18 years
Bournemouth hosted West Ham in the league over the weekend in what was an eventful game. The home side were awarded two penalties in the first-half, and missed both.
Surprised? You should be, as this is the first time a club missed two first-half penalties in the English top-flight since Aston Vila vs. Wimbeldon in September 1998.
To make that encounter even more interesting, the Cherries still won that tie. The beat the Hammers 3-2 thanks to a Josh King hat-trick.
Morgan Schneiderlin ends his very, very long wait for a goal
Schneiderlin didn’t play often at Man United, and thus hasn’t scored in ages. The Frenchman ended that goal drought in the 3-0 win over West Brom.
How long had he been waiting for a goal?
511 days!
This is officially Romelu Lukaku’s best season
The Everton forward scored his 19th goal of the campaign in the win over West Brom. That makes this his best season, and sees him claim number one spot in the top-scorer’s chart.
Never count Liverpool out of a game
Against Burnley, Klopp’s men surprisingly found themselves trailing after only seven minutes. They Merseyside giants fought back, however, winning 2-1.
That was the 14th point they won from a losing position this season – the highest this campaign.
14 - Liverpool have won 14 points from losing positions in the Premier League this term; a joint-high with Tottenham. Recovery.

DID YOU KNOW?
Paul Clement has won more points this season in his 9 games as Swansea boss than the 19 games he wasn’t – 15 compared to 12.
They can thank this season’s Assist King for that
11 - Gylfi Sigurdsson has more assists than any other Premier League player this season. Legs.
