  • They sit dead bottom in the table with 10 points from 21 games.
  • This will be Real Madrid’s first game in a fortnight – their last game was the 3-0 win over Real Sociedad on January 29.
  • These two clubs’ last six El Sadar Stadium meetings have been tightly contested. The home side have won only once, whilst Les Merengues triumphed twice (3D).
  • Five red cards have been handed out in their last six clashes at Osasuna.
  • Los Blancos have won 26 of their last 31 league games.

Team news

Real Madrid have not played a game in a fortnight. This is due to the fact that their last league game – versus Celta Vigo in the previous round – was postponed because of damage to the stadium.

The table-toppers were left fuming, as it means they now have two games in hand which must be crammed into their busy schedule. On the positive side, this gave Los Blancos’ players the perfect chance to recover from injury to be fit and ready for action.

The likes of Dani Carvajal and Marcelo have rejoined Modric, Pepe, and James in training and could all feature on Saturday. This will relieve Zidane of the selection headache from a few weeks back.

The only player sidelined for this game is Gareth Bale, but Zidane revealed that he hopes the Welshman will be back by early next month. Toni Kroos is out for the weekend clash due to suspension.
