The London duo are both after the Spanish striker after claims he has grown frustrated with life at Real Madrid.

Although Diego Costa took to social media to rubbish claims of a Chelsea exit, the fans are unsettled regarding the future of their top-scorer. Rumors of a move to China exploded after he had an alleged bust-up with manager Antonio Conte.

Arsenal have little worries in the goalscoring department, with Alexis Sanchez performing excellent this season, and Danny Welbeck making his much-awaited return. Nonetheless, the 2-1 loss to Watford showed that their attack could benefit from an upgrade.

As a result, reports that the London duo are both interested in Alvaro Morata aren’t shocking. The Spaniard is young and talented, but suffers from a lack of playing time due to Real Madrid’s competitive attack.

The player feels cheated by Zinedine Zidane, and has asked his agent to find him a new club should the French manager continue. The Premier League is his preferred destination although there is interest from former employers Juventus.

The Telegraph have handed the Blues a huge boost, and the Gunners a huge blow, reporting that the player has informed friends that he is keen on a Stamford Bridge move. Both Conte and Wenger are admirers, but Morata prefers the current league leaders.

The Spanish attacker fancies the Italian boss, as it was Conte who laid the groundwork for Morata’s Juventus move. If the Real Madrid ace chooses Chelsea over Arsenal, it won’t be the first time Wenger loses out on a target to his London rivals.

Le Prof recently revealed that he tried to sign N’Golo Kante before his Stamford Bridge move, but lost the race to Chelsea. Wenger’s boys must now face against the French midfielder when they visit the Blues in Saturday’s early kick-off.
