The Reds have suffered in the Senegalese attacker's absence, having won only once since he left for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Liverpool, who have begun 2017 in poor fashion, have received a huge boost ahead of their crucial tie with Chelsea in the English Premier League. The Merseyside giants could have hit summer signing Sadio Mane back in time for the highly-anticipated clash.

The league’s best attack will lock horns with the toughest defense in England, a game which will either end the Reds title hopes, or breathe life back into it. Lose, and Jurgen Klopp’s boys can kiss the league goodbye.

As a result, the club have taken extra measures to boost their odds of winning. The Daily Mail claim that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have arranged a private jet to fly back the Senegalese attacker as soon as possible.

Sadio Mane, Senegal, Cameroon, Africa Cup of Nations

The former Southampton ace left Anfield to join with the national side for the Africa Cup of Nations. Senegal’s campaign came to an end when they were knocked out by Cameroon, with Mane missing the last penalty that sent his side packing.

Klopp will be glad to have his speedy attacker back. Since leaving Liverpool, the club have only won once and have exited both the League Cup and FA Cup. However, Mane will most likely start on the bench due to fatigue.
