19-year-old Gabriel Jesus will finally receive clearance papers from his former club Palmeiras and could be included in this weekend's squad.

Manchester City's up-and-coming campaign might be getting the boost it needed, as striker Gabriel Jesus will be cleared to play next weekend's match against Spurs.

The 19-year-old striker has been training with the team for the past three weeks, but he wasn't cleared to play since his former club Palmeiras hadn't completed paperwork with the FA. Confirmation should be arriving to the club on Wednesday or early Thursday, making the player available for the weekend.

The striker helped Brazil win their first-ever Olympic Gold Medal last summer.

Gabriel Jesus signed a contract with Manchester City in 2016, but his former club forced him to stay until December, so he could play the entire Brasileirao with them.

The striker has been in scintillating form with the Brazilian National Team, scoring four goals in six outings with the Verdeamarelha side last year. Furthermore, he added three goals in six matches during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, helping the hosts win the Gold Medal for the first time.
