The legendary midfielder showed mixed feeling about Boca's superstar, labelling him as 'irreplaceable' for Los Xeneizes.

Once again, Diego Maradona needed to share his opinion about one of this week's most commented issues: Carlos Tévez's departure from the Argentinean Primera División.

In an interview with Radio Rivadavia, the legendary footballer admitted he was gutted to see Boca's superstar leave, since there is no one that can fill his shoes with the blue and yellow side.

"As a fan of Boca Juniors, I regret his decision. We will lose him and he's irreplaceable. As a player, I believe it's a fantastic move, considering the amount of money he will earn," Maradona stated.

The 32-year old is set to become the best paid player in the world if he joins Shanghai Shenhua.

But leaving Boca is not the only downside Maradona sees if Tévez ends up playing in the Chinese Super League. "El Pelusa" felt gutted for his future with La Albiceleste, a team Tévez would no longer play for if he decides to make such a move.

"We'll have to forget about Carlitos playing for the National Team. Coach Bauza will no longer be able to watch him play. He told me recently that he was considering to call him up, but if he chooses to leave, we'll have to respect his decision," Maradona added.

Tévez is expected to decide about his future in the next few days, but the offer from the Chinese Super League seems too good to overlook.
