UEFAlona, cried many; but Barcelona fans came back with their rebuttals.

Barcelona took on Osasuna on Saturday, as the defending champions went in search of a win that would help them keep pace with league leaders Real Madrid. The Blaugrana weren’t in the best of forms domestically, and went into the break tied 0-0.

Luckily, Luis Suarez broke the deadlock. The Uruguayan tapped in the ball after lovely teamwork to put the away side ahead. A brace from Lionel Messi followed shortly afterwards, as Luis Enrique’s men marched to a 3-0 win.

However, much controversy surrounded Barcelona’s opening goal. Many argued that the South American ace was offside when he broke the deadlock. Of course, given the UEFAlona and FIFAlona beliefs, the debate sparked immediately.

But then came the rebuttals.

It didn’t matter, though, as his strike stood. The goal saw the Pichichi holder move up the top-scorers chart, and it helped Barcelona cut Los Blancos’ lead to three points – temporarily.

And the player was extremely happy to help his side earn the victory.
