Is Victor Moses heading to Barcelona? Let's ask Antonio Conte....

Ahead of their crucial clash against rivals Spurs, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has opened up about rumours linking Victor Moses to La Liga giants Barcelona. Spanish publication Sport reported on Friday that Los Blaugrana were considering a move for the Nigerian star who has been in fine form this season under the Italian manager.

The 25-year-old, who was mostly snubbed last season by former Blues manager Jose Mourinho, is now one of the key men behind the club’s recent resurgence in the league. The Stamford Bridge outfit now sits at the top of the league with 28 points and have been tipped to lift the gong at the end of the season following a disappointing 2015/16 campaign that saw them finish 10th. About the transfer rumours, the former Juventus manager told journalists:

"About Victor, I repeat, it's important to be focused on the present.  It's important to be focused game by game. Now we are doing very well. But, for me, I don't want to think that my players see 'so long' [into the future].

"I like to think my players are focused on the present, not the future so long-term. We have just started in this league and, after a period, two bad defeats, we won six games in a row. This is important, now, to continue this, to be focused, to work for the present. Not to look at the future."

Following their 2-2 draw with the Lillywhites in a hot-tempered clash at the Bridge last season, a result that ended Spurs’ hopes of winning the league title, the 2014/15 Champions will be hoping to inflict the same pain at the same venue, once again. But this time round, apart from eyeing the league, Spurs also have an unbeaten record to protect and a loss to Chelsea would double last season’s pain.
