The Uruguayan striker will be missing his National Team's next match after being booked before the first half of the match concluded.

Tuesday will be one day Luis Suárez will want to forget quickly, as nothing went his way while facing Chile in the South American Qualifiers.

Even if he assisted Edinson Cavani for Uruguay's opening goal, his night turned ugly when Chile equalized the game during the first half's last gasp. He committed a foul that was protested by Uruguay's bench, but htat didn't stop the ref from booking him. That card will force him to watch the crucial match against Brazil from the stands, with the tournament's first place in jeopardy.

To make matters worse, Suárez had to swallow his words from earlier this week, as he claimed Claudio Bravo wasn't a good goalkeeper. Bravo replied on the pitch by denying Suárez a goal scoring opportunity from the spot. Bravo's save prevented Suárez from increasing his goal scoring tally as Uruguay's all-time top scorer, and kept Chile's two-goal lead intact.

Here's what fans had to say about Suárez's nightmare of a game.

"When they tell you that your next game is against Brazil and you'll play without Suarez and Muslera"

"Bravo has saved penalties against Messi, Neymar and Suárez"

"Suárez should've let Cavani take that penalty"
