A tweet sent by Andrés Iniesta prompted Sergio Ramos' reply. Everything seemed to be working out until a third player got in the way.

Three Spanish players got into a "war of words" on Twitter earlier today. But rest assured, things never got out of hand.

Everything started when Andrés Iniesta posted a picture on Twitter, asking fans to keep their support as he carries on with his recovery.

"To finish this week with good sensations after doing a good job...not bad!"

Out of nowhere came Sergio Ramos, who is scheduled to return with Los Blancos next weekend. The Spanish center back wished Iniesta all the best and revealed his desire to play against "El Fantasmita" next month.

"So, we'll see each other at El Clásico? Hopefully, we'll both be there. Let's keep it up!"

And then, Gerard Pique entered the conversation. The Catalan center back admitted his recovery is going fine, hinting he will return with Los Blaugranas soon.

"So, all of us will be there, then! May the best team win!"

Ramos replied, and dared to claim the win in advance.

"We want you to be there as well! But let's make it clear: we'll get all the points"

Before things got out of hand, Iniesta kept everybody calm and ended the conversation by replying Ramos' challenge.

"Thanks Sergio, and let's hope we can all be there, Gerard! The game deserves it!And about the points, let's not talk about it"
