Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain was on target for the Old Lady against his former side Napoli in Turin. The game itself was characterized by tension from both sets of fans – the away fans were bitter with Higuain, their former player who has since been labelled a traitor for his decision to move from Naples to Turin over the summer.
Higuain spent three seasons at Napoli where he scored 71 league goals in 104 appearances. At Juventus, he has already scored six goals in seven league appearances, a true reflection of his quality as a center forward.
And when the 28-year-old scored a goal against his former side on his first ever meeting with his ex-employers since his departure, he refused to celebrate as a sign of respect.
Juventus won the match 2-1. More details to follow.
