With their interest in Neymar fended off by Barcelona, Les Parisiens have placed their eyes on France's rising star.

Antoine Griezmann's successful stint in 2016 hasn't been overlooked, and one of Europe's top spending teams has prioritized his signing. The sooner, the better.

Reports by ESPN suggest that Patrick Kluivert, PSG's Sporting Director, has started contacts with Griezmann's inner circle to try and lure him away to the French champions. The player's €100M buyout clause wouldn't be a problem for Les Parisiens, as they were ready to spend 125M in Neymar's clause, without even considering the player's salary.

After winning the UEFA Euro 2016 Golden Boot, Griezmann has continued to shine with Atletico Madrid this season. Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte tried to lure him away to the Premier League this summer, but Los Colchoneros managed to keep him around, especially due to Diego Simeone's efforts.

With Simeone's future seemingly away from the UEFA Champions League runners up, the French striker seems to be on his way out of Vicente Calderón Stadium. Earlier this month, the player parted ways with his agent in order to analyze offers from other teams, which sparked rumors about a possible transfer. Only time will tell if the French star will leave the club, but PSG's offer could be a serious possibility if he decides to leave.
