La Liga have gone and announced the kick-off time for the first Clasico tie of this season, the first meeting between Barcelona and Real Madrid; MSN and BBC; Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – if both are fit.
The first of their two-game – sometimes even more – clashes per season will be held at Camp Nou, scheduled on December 3. Unfortunately, the kick-off time will leave fans in England disappointed.
The meeting between Spain’s two biggest clubs is scheduled at 15:15 BST, which means anyone in England hoping to catch a glimpse of Leo, Suarez, and Neymar going head to head with Cristiano, Bale, and Benzema won’t be able to do so.
The rule is that live matches cannot be aired in the United Kingdom between 14:45 and 17:15, meaning El Clasico cannot be viewed by anyone living in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Luckily for everyone else, the game will air in 100 other countries, as La Liga aims to nab audience away from the very popular and successful English Premier League.
As the way things stand right now, Los Blancos occupy second spot in the standings – behind leaders Atletico. The Blaugrana sit in fourth, with Sevilla resting in third between the Catalan and Madrid giants.
