Marcus Rashford's season couldn't get any better if the latest reports from England are to be considered.

Manchester United teenage forward Marcus Rashford has been promoted back to the England senior team just days after the departure of manager Sam Allardyce. The 18-year-old has enjoyed a series of good performances for the Red Devils since his debut in the Europa League against Dutch outfit Midtjylland last season.

This season, he has found the back of the net four times in seven appearances for Jose Mourinho’s men, hence making him a key player both at the club and national level. Surprisingly, Big Sam had excluded the fan-favorite footballer from the lineup to face Slovakia earlier this month citing lack of play time under Mourinho. But the livewire forward had the perfect response to his exclusion when he scored a hat-trick against Norway on his England U21 debut, before returning to Man Utd where he continued to pump more goals, most recently against Leicester City in the Premier League.

And now, the Daily Mail claims that England’s caretaker boss Gareth Southgate is set to select Rashford for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia. This comes at a time when the 18-year-old had been dropped from the U21s squad, sparking rumors that he was on his way back to the senior team.
