The 29-year old signed a new deal with the English Premier League champions before he makes the trip to play the International Champions Cup with the Foxes.

One of the main reasons for Leicester City's successful season was Jamie Vardy, and after a summer full of transfer rumors surrounding the striker, the English Premier League's scoring sensation is back with the Foxes to try and defend their title.

Speaking to the team's website, Vardy revealed that he was always confident about his future, even with speculation about him joining Arsenal.

"I had total faith in my agent and the Club to sort things out, which left me free to completely focus on England and trying to help the team. It's nice to be coming into pre-season without the distraction of any speculation. My future's decided - I'm a Leicester City player and I'm absolutely delighted with that" the player said.

The 29-year-old striker set a new record for most consecutive weeks scoring at least one goal.

Despite the Foxes' glorious 2015-2016 season, Vardy wants to aim higher with the team.

"The next few years could be really exciting for this club. We all want to build on last season’s success and I’m delighted that I’ll be part of it. We're defending the title and we've got the Champions League to look forward to, so we want to make sure we do ourselves justice," Vardy added.

The player is set to travel to Los Angeles, where he will join his team-mates after spending a few days with his family. He is expected to play for the Foxes on July 30, when they clash against PSG in the International Champions Cup.
