Carlos Tévez has been rumored to be on his way out of Boca Juniors just one year after he resumed his career with the South American giants.

Carlos Tévez may have spent the last year playing for his beloved Boca Juniors, but that doesn't mean top clubs have forgotten about him.

Last week, the former West Ham, Manchester United and Manchester City striker ignited rumors about a transfer away from Los Xeneizes, but since some of Boca's supporters were not satisfied by his words, he decided to step up and reveal where he'll play next year.

"My dream, my idea is to finish my playing days in this wonderful club. Europe? Yes, Napoli and Chelsea were interested in having me around, but I'll say it again, I wish to stay here until I retire," the 32-year old stated in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

Tévez has won five major trophies with Los Xeneizes since his debut 15 years ago.

The player fueled a number of rumors last week, following his request to be excused from team duties after Boca Juniors' Copa Libertadores elimination. Coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto revealed Tévez asked for a "leave of absence", but he was confident the striker would return next semester.

Napoli and Chelsea are in need of a top-rated striker. The Italian side needs to replace Gonzalo Higuaín after he chose to say goodbye to sign a record-breaking deal with Juventus. Likewise, newly appointed coach Antonio Conte wants to add more talent up front for the Blues, and Tevez's experience playing in the English top flight made him a suitable candidate.

Since he re-joined Boca Juniors last summer, Tévez has scored 18 goals and handed out 8 assists in all competitions, helping the blue-and-yellow to win the Primera División in 2015, as well as the Copa Argentina title.
