Demba Ba continues to remain in the headlines after suffering a horrific leg break during a clash with Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League.
The former Chelsea striker, who currently tops the goalscoring chart with 14 goals from 18 games, saw his season come to an end after a collision with Sun Xiang left the Senegalese ace’s leg dangling in pain.
The 31-year-old was immediately taken to hospital, where he’s no expected to recover for a long time. However, Ba received a surprise visitor quickly after his admission.
The Shanghai Shenhua forward was visited by Xiang – the man who was involved in the nasty injury – paid Demba Ba a visit.
Ba then spoke to Chinese TV, saying: “It was a very difficult day (on Sunday) for me and the team, but I’m glad we won.
“I would like to thank all the supporters who are watching over me in the hospital.”
