Cristiano Ronaldo could become a great manager, as he demonstrated on Sunday when Portugal won the European Championship in France.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo stole the show both on and off the pitch as his country went on to win its first ever European Championship title. On the pitch, the Real Madrid hit-man created a somber mood among his fans and Seleccao fans at large when he picked up a knee injury after colliding with French star Dimitri Payet.

Ronaldo was seen limping for the second time despite receiving medical attention at the touchline immediately after the collision. He was later substituted and replaced by Ricardo Quaresma.

Instead of writhing in pain, Ronaldo kept on limping along the touchlines as he assisted coach Fernando Santos in providing instructions to his teammates.

Then the magical moment came in the second-half of extra-time when Eder scored a brilliant goal to give Santos’ side the coveted title. And as Ronaldo lifted the trophy, another magical moment was captured on camera. The ex-Man Utd man was seen hugging his mentor Sir Alex Ferguson, who signed him from Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon back in 2003 when he was still a teenager.

Coincidentally, when Ronaldo was issuing instructions from the touchline after picking up a knee injury, he kept on doing the wrist gesture that was quite common with the former Man united boss.
