Manchester United are not yet done with their transfer business ahead of the new season.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the club is set to make the third signing ahead of the new season. The ex-Chelsea boss has already signed two players for the Red Devils, namely Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Although he did not reveal the identity of the third signing, he is widely believed to be Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borrusia Dortmund.

The German giants recently revealed that the Armenian was on his way to join the Red Devils, but the English club has not yet confirmed the news. Mkhitaryan is expected to be unveiled by the club this week, as Mourinho prepares his squad for the pre-season head of the new league campaign.

Here is what he had to say when asked about the possibility of signing more players after Bailly’s and Zlatan’s arrival:

“I don’t know, yet. The third player [Mkhitarayn] will be official soon – I can try to make you understand the profile. We made a nucleus of four priorities, four positions, to give a certain balance to the squad. To give a certain push in terms of the qualities I need and want.

As you know, the ones with more vision. I am more a manager that likes specialists rather than multi-functional players because I am clear in my approach. Multi-functional players – you need one or two if you have three central defenders injured. But, basically, I want specialists. We decided four targets. We have three at the moment.

Until we don’t have the fourth, we are still working hard. Myself, the structure, Mr Woodward, the owners. When we have the fourth we will breathe. The market will be open. We will get the fourth before 31 August, and we will be stable but the market will be open.''
