Here are some of the things you need to know about Leicester City's summer signing.

Premier League defending champions Leicester City have confirmed their second summer signing. The Foxes have acquired the signature of Luis Hernandez from La Liga side Sporting Gijon ahead of the new season. The Leicester-based club announced the news on their official website. Part of the statement read:

''Spanish defender Luis Hernandez will join Leicester City on a four-year deal from 1 July

''The 27-year-old will link up with the Foxes on a free transfer after his contract with La Liga side Sporting Gijon expires. Hernandez has made almost 140 appearances for Sporting Gijon and is a product of the Real Madrid academy.''

Claudio Ranieri's men are gearing up for their first-ever Championship League action in the 2016/17 season and the defender is expected to provide more solidity at the back.

Here is a quick look at his profile:

Full name: Luis Hernandez Rodriguez

Age: 27

Place of birth: Madrid, Spain

Previous clubs: Real Madrid C, B, Sporting Gijon B, Sporting Gijon.

One of his best performances in La Liga was on his debut season (2015/16) when he kept Real Madrid forwards at bay to secure a goalless draw with the Champions League champions.

The 27-year-old is set to link up with the English side ahead of their pre-season campaign where they will face La Liga champions Barcelona, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and Scotland giants Celtic.
