Portugal's Ricardo Carvalho and Nani have spoken out regarding their side's form and their crucial Group F match against Hungary.

Fernando Santos' men have started their UEFA Euro 2016 campaign in a frustrating manner, failing to win in any of their two appearances. Even with many claiming Portugal being drawn to the easiest group of the competition, Ronaldo and Co. have not been impressive.

Portugal has only two points on the table, which means they must secure a win against Hungary on Wednesday if they aim to advance to the knockout stages.

Speaking to UEFA.com, the players insist they will be hungry to score goals in hopes of reaching the second round of this top-flight tournament.

38-year-old defender Ricardo Carvalho talked about their scoreless draw versus Austria stating

"We did more than enough to win, the team are still confident. We don't have to be worried – we need to be calm."

Portugal have had an astonishing record of 50 shots on target with only one of those attempts going in the back of the net. Nani was the man to score in their opening game against Iceland.Nani

The Portuguese winger believes his team needs to get the goals flowing, saying:

"In the next game we have to show our football, our attitude, and we need to score, though on the evidence so far, that is easier said than done.

"The fans expect goals, expect victories.

"We are the same, the important thing is to be confident. We can win the group in the next game."
