Poland held world champions Germany to a scoreless draw on Thursday with both teams picking up one point.

Lewandowski and Co. stole the hearts of many in their second match of UEFA Euro 2016 after a stunning display against powerhouse Germany. However, they were unable to net any goals.

With Poland's opening 1-0 win against Northern Ireland, the Polish side now have four points on the table. Although Adam Nawałka's side was criticized for their mediocre performance versus the Irish lads, they silenced critics with their strong exhibition at the Stade de France.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, skipper Robert Lewandowski believes his team deserved a goal.

"Definitely, we're happy, getting a point from the world champions is a valuable achievement. At first, we gave our opponents too much respect. We played very defensively and were missing the players up front to create chances. In the second half we changed it. We started to attack with more players and we created opportunities. Too bad we didn't score a goal, because I think we deserved at least one.Poland-Germany

"It would be good to get a goal, but I haven't had any chances, I know how difficult it can be, and I'm often on my own up front. But it's not about statistics – it's about the team. I hope I will score against Ukraine, but more than that, I hope we win and go through."

Lewandowski has made 78 appearances for the White and Red, netting 33 goals.

Poland will face Ukraine in their final group stage match on June 21.
