La Roja's striker hadn't been able to score this summer, but he managed to do so against Los Canaleros in the group stage's final match.

Fans had to wait to celebrate Alexis Sánchez's first goal this summer, but their patience was rewarded with an impressive volley.

Five minutes into the second half, Alexis managed to send the ball into the back of Jaime Penedo's net with a right-footed volley, paving the way for Chile's win against Panama.

This wasn't an easy game for Chile, as Panamá took an early lead thanks to a mistake by Gonzalo Jara and Claudio Bravo. Edu Vargas' brace made things easier for La Roja, but it was Sánchez's golazo that stole all the headlines.

This was Alexis' 32nd goal in 98 caps with the Chilean National Team. Later in the game, Sánchez scored his 33rd goal with La Roja, putting to good use a cross by José Fuenzalida.
