Here is our analysis of the Copa America Centenario Group A match between Brazil and Haiti.

Former football giants Brazil face Haiti in a Group A fixture of the Copa America Centenario in the USA. Brazil seem to have relaxed a little bit in terms of overall performance and winning mentality since their 7-1 defeat to Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup hosted by the South American nation.

Haiti, on the other hand, are widely considered the underdogs of this group and may not pose a great threat to the Brazilians.

Coach Dunga’s men registered a goalless draw with Ecuador in their opening match of the campaign and they are in dire need of a win in order to increase their chance of progressing to the next phase of the tournament. On the other hand, Haiti fell to Peru by a solitary goal, and if they lose this fixture against the Samba Boys, they could be bundled out of the tournament. This will, however, depend on the results from the Ecuador vs Peru game.

Brazil come into this fixture without their captain Neymar, but will be hoping to secure a win if their record against Les Grenadiers is anything to consider.

The last time Brazil faced Haiti was back in 1959, a match that ended 9-1 in favor of Selecao.

Brazil have not lost any of their last six games, but have only registered two wins in those six games. Meanwhile, their opponents have not won any of their last six games, losing five times and drawing once.

Peru lead Group A with three points, followed by Brazil and Ecuador who have one points each, while Haiti seal the group at the bottom without a point. A high-scoring win for Brazil could take them to the top of the table if Ecuador beat Peru by a slim margin.
