Lucas Vazquez will most likely miss the last game of the season with Real Madrid after picking up an injury against Valencia.

With the BBC attack fit, there's usually no problem for Real Madrid's coaches when it comes to deciding their starting lineups. But when all of them are struggling with fitness issues, the team's supporting cast has to step up and deliver.

One of those players who lived up to the challenge was Lucas Vázquez, but he may not be able to perform for Los Blancos during the final game of the season against Deportivo, where Real Madrid will try to snatch the title away from Barcelona.

The Spanish wingman was subbed off the pitch during Sunday's match against Valencia with a possible knee injury, which was confirmed earlier today by the team's medical staff.

"After a number of tests were carried out, we can cofirm that Lucas Vázquez has been diagnosed with a medial collateral sprain in his left knee. The player will return to the pitch depending on how he responds to treatment," the press release states.

The player has scored four goals and assisted his team-mates six times during his first full season with Los Blancos.

Vázquez's injury will give Zinedine Zidane quite a headache, as Los Blancos prepare the final game of La Liga. The wingman was filling in for Gareth Bale whenever the Welshman was unavailable, but it seems that the French coach will have to look for more options when choosing the team that will try to steal the domestic title away from Barcelona's hands.
