Eden Hazard's international teammate has criticized the 25-year-old for being 'envious' of Spurs' success.

As Chelsea prepare to host their rivals Spurs at the Stamford Bridge later today for the crucial Premier League clash, a section of fans and players from both sides have set the right-tempo for this London derby.

Some few days ago, the Chelsea duo of Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard openly admitted that they did not want their next door neighbors Spurs to win the league title. They instead rooted for high-flying Leicester City, something that did not go down well with fans of the North London club. Hazard even went a step further to claim that Chelsea would do all they can to stop Spurs from winning the league title.

However, fans of the Lillywhites were not the only ones who were offended by Hazard’s comments. His international teammate, Mousa Dembele, who plays for Spurs and Belgium, has now accused the 25-year-old of being envious of Spurs success.

As reported by The Sun, Dembele said:

''I am surprised at what Eden has said. He is not the type of person to normally make those types of comments or to envy other people’s success.

''I’m wondering whether he said that stuff because it is what he really thinks, or whether he was just talking for the sake of it. Tottenham play some of the most attractive football in the Premier League — we have a beautiful style of play. But I won’t pay too much heed to his comments and those from Cesc Fabregas, who has said similar things.’’

He then added:

''People come up to me in the street and say ‘Did you hear what Hazard said? What’s his problem?’ I will have a word with Eden before the game, although I will make a joke of it. I won’t conduct a half-hour interview with him. I am convinced he didn’t think about what he said.’’

The two London rivals are set to clash later tonight in a must-watch encounter. Although they are not fighting for any title this season, Spurs want to solidify their place in next year’s Champions League, while the Pensioners are hoping to slay Pochettino’s men, a result that would effectively hand Leicester City the league title.
