The 18-year-old Rennes sensation could be headed for Germany, but maybe not to Westfalenstadion as initially expected.

Saturday could be a joyous day for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, as they host Borussia Monchengladbach needing only a win to secure yet another league title and a new record of becoming the 1st team to win four consecutive Bundesliga crowns.

Furthermore, the Bavarians could have more to smile about, as a transfer target that appeared out of their reach at one point has now handed die Roten fresh hope in landing him.

He is none other than Rennes starlet Ousmane Dembele, the 18-year-old striker who is making a name for himself in Ligue 1 and grabbing the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs thanks to his 12 goals this season.

Dembele recently sat down for an interview with beIN Sports, as per Goal, in which he was asked a series of quick-fire questions, one being whether he prefers BVB or Bayern.

Surprisingly, even though reports earlier this month suggested that the Signal Iduna Park side wrapped up the signing of Dembele, the player himself refused to chose Thomas Touchel’s side over Pep Guardiola’s outfit.

With interest for the player also coming from Spain, the Frenchman made little secret of the fact that he prefers Barca to rivals Real Madrid in regards to the same question.

Ousmane, however, ruled out a move to Ligue 1 champions PSG, saying "No. It's a dream for many football players, but I'm fine here" when asked whether he might make a Parc des Princes switch.

The 18-year-old also admitted that he’s not letting these transfer speculations go to his head, saying: "I’ve got 24 Ligue 1 games behind me, I've got to continue to work.

"I wanted to show what I can do, to France and Stade Rennais. I don't know if I'll become a great player but I'm not big-headed, I know there is still a lot of work to do.

"I signed a three-year contract in Rennes. Rumors disturb me a bit but I'm not focused on that. We'll see what happens."
