On Wednesday, Bundesliga giants revealed wonderful news to the world and their legions of devoted fans, announcing on Twitter that superstar goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had signed a new five-year deal with the Bavarians.
Earlier last month, outgoing manager Pep Guardiola was rumored to be keen on luring the sweeper-keeper along with him to Man City, but now the German custodian has committed to Bayern by putting pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2021.
After signing the new deal, the World Cup winner spoke to FCB TV, giving his thoughts and reaction to his new deal.
“I couldn’t imagine signing anywhere else and I’m happy we sealed the deal now. I am looking forward to the future at Bayern,” said the 30-year-old.

“I like to play in the Bundesliga; I like German football. And I want to stay at the best club.”
“Who knows what the future will bring but I’ll definitely play here until I’m 35.”
