The Brazilian defender still can’t believe Torres was sent off whilst Luis Suarez escaped a red card.

On Tuesday, Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez scored a second-half brace to help Barcelona fight back to a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid despite conceding early.

Los Rojiblancos defender Filipe Luis was left furious after the final whistle, though it was not because of the result but due to the officiating which favored the Blaugrana in his opinion.

Felix Brych was the referee for the Camp Nou affair, falling under heavy criticism after sending off goalscorer Fernando Torres before the break for two bookable offences.

The official raised more eyebrows when he failed to show Suarez the same treatment, only handing the Uruguayan a yellow for his kick on Juanfran before escaping any punishment despite smacking Filipe Luis in the face.

The former Liverpool ace pulled a similar great escape during El Clasico, as he avoided being sent off despite (similarly) smacking Pepe in the face in an aerial duel.

It was this decision which gave birth to the Brazilian’s scathing attack on UEFA, claiming a fear of seeing the Blaugrana crash early has earned the Catalan giants immunity from referees and the European football governing body.

"The referees protect Barcelona. There's fear at UEFA that they could go out. All this is sad."

"Two fouls from a forward, two yellow cards and this changed the whole game," said the Atletico defender, as per AS.

Suarez's brace helped maintain Luis Enrique's excellent record vs Atletico

"In the league game, for a kick on Messi, I was correctly sent off, but I don't know what these guys have to do to get sent off like us," added the 30-year-old.

"I was crucified for that and an aggression without the ball is a red card, but I don't know what they have to do."
