Diego Simeone has hinted that his coaching career could take an interesting turn when he leaves Spain.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has revealed the club he would love to manage in future after parting ways with the Madrid giants.

Many fans and pundits had expected the experienced manager to join the Premier League but he seems to have other ideas. Earlier this year, he was linked with a move to the Stamford Bridge but Chelsea decided to settle for Antonio Conte as their next boss when Guus Hiddink’s interim role comes to an end this summer.

Cholo has also been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium countless times as Arsene Wenger’s successor but surprisingly, the Rojiblancos boss dreams of managing Italian giants Inter Milan in the future.

He told Premium Sport:

''Throughout my career, there are certain posts I expect to go to.

''So I hope to return to Milan in the future. Not now, because I’m fine at Atletico, but it is a situation I envisage, just as I envisaged being here in Madrid.’’

Simeone played for Inter Milan for two seasons and won the 1997-98 UEFA Cup with the Nerazzurri, alongside the legendary Ronaldo who was spearheading the attack.

The Argentine has overseen a total of 249 games as Atletico Madrid manager, won 157, drawn 51 and lost 41,according to TransferMarkt.
