Although they are out of the running for the Scudetto after suffering a mid-season collapse, and were painfully dumped out of the Coppa Italia by Juventus, there is still something that Inter can aspire to: European football.
The Nerazzurri finished in eighth place last season, which has denied them the opportunity to feature on the continent. However, this time around, they are in definite contention for at least a Europa League berth, provided they manage to maintain a positive run in form between now and the conclusion of this season.

Roberto Mancini's side have lost just one of their past five fixtures and the Nerazzurri have experienced an uptick in form as of late. Having picked up ten points out of a possible 15, as well as halting Roma's winning streak by holding the Giallorossi to a 1-1 draw, Inter will be hoping to keep a decent gap between themselves and cross-town rivals AC Milan.
Well, they will have an excellent opportunity to pick up another win. Their upcoming opponents Torino have been quite poor as of late and will be coming into this game having suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat against Juventus in last round's Derby della Mole. To make matters even better, key striker Mauro Icardi has made a full recovery from his knee problem. In addition, the Italian tactician will also be able to welcome back Geoffrey Kondogbia and Stevan Jovetic from injury and Rodrigo Palacio after he served his ban.
However, although the Nerazzurri are unbeaten in 18 out of their last 19 meetings against the Granata across all competitions, they will not want to take this game lightly. Inter really had to work just to grind out a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture, with Kondogbia's goal being the deciding factor. And in this same match last season, it was the Granata who came out on top at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Torino
Torino might be sitting above the bottom three in the table, but this really offers a false sense of security. With just two wins out of their past 13 matches, the Granata are in danger of sliding into the relegation zone unless if they manage to arrest this poor run of form. Giampiero Ventura's side last won a game on February 14th when they defeated fellow struggling side Palermo 3-1.
To complicate things for the already floundering visitors, they will have to make do without to key players. Captain Kamil Glik is out due to suspension, whilst Ciro Immobile is set for at least a month on the sidelines, meaning that Ventura will be heavily relying on Andrea Belotti, who is the team's top goalscorer to find a way past Inter.
