Alvaro Morata has confirmed his interest to play for Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Juventus star Alvaro Morata says he would like to return to Real Madrid in the summer, as reported by Cadena Cope. The Spaniard left the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2014 and signed a six-year deal with the Italian giants.

Los Blancos could however buy him back thanks to the reported availability of a buy-back option on his contract. Speaking to Cadena Cope, the 23-year-old said:

"I'm happy at Juve, but it isn't up to me and I don't know where I will end up. Going by the contract, returning to Real Madrid is a real possibility and I just hope everything is tied up quickly."

This come just a few months when Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno told AS that the club is always thinking about their past players, whom he considered as part of the Madrid family. Speaking about Butragueno, Morata confirmed that he is always in close contact with him. He said:

"I also talk to Butragueno often and about things other than football too. He is a very important figure at Real. He sends me messages when I score or play well."

The added that he hopes Zinedine Zidane’s side would go all the way to win the Champions League this season. Juventus were bundled out of the competition by Bayern Munich in a thrilling encounter at the Allianz Arena. Speaking about the match, he said:

"That elimination still hurts and it is going to hurt me for a lifetime.

"I still can't believe it, it is incomprehensible that we were knocked out.

"We were 2-0 up and in the end we somehow lost. I was fine when the coach took me off, but obviously he thought that it was the best thing for the team. It really hurt me to lose that game, though."

Morata has netted 10 goals for the Old Lady in 40 appearances across all competitions this season and has been a top transfer target for top Premier League clubs such as Arsenal.
