The Chilean striker could return to either the Italian tournament or La Liga if contract negotiations with Arsenal don't materialize soon.

If Arsene Wenger doesn't make up his mind quickly, Arsenal could say goodbye to one of their top assets.

According to Spanish outlet As, via their Chilean affiliates, Alexis Sánchez could make a shocking return to the Serie A with Juventus next season, as "La Vecchia Signora" wants to add some talent to their frontline. This is not the first time Alexis  has been on Juve's radar, as the bianconeri side tempted the Chilean to join them before he ended up signing with Barcelona.

The prospect of watching Sanchez leave the Emirates next summer could be fueled by the Gunners' failing to offer the Chilean a new deal. Sánchez was expected to sign a four-year contract extension with the North London outfit, but Wenger is still dubious of what the player can contribute to the team in the following year.

Being a top-caliber player, Alexis' future could also have him returning to a former league, as Atletico Madrid is also following the player's contract talks closely, and if there is a chance, they could try to lure him back to the Spanish top flight.

The key to make this deal happen for Los Colchoneros would be Diego Simeone. The Argentine coached Alexis at River Plate a few years ago, and they've always kept in touch ever since.  Simeone would use Sanchez's arrival as a condition to remain coaching Atlético, as he wants to build a competitive team for next season in order to battle for all tournaments.
