According to Bild, the Dutchman will miss Wednesday’s 2nd leg fixture after catching a virus.

Bayern Munich vs Juventus is a highly-anticipated fixture which can end in any side’s favor; however, the 2nd leg tie is being threatened by the absence of a few star names.

On Tuesday, the Serie A reigning champions announced in a medical report that they will travel to the Allianz Arena without Paulo Dybala and Claudio Marchisio after the attacker and midfielder both injured their soleus muscle.

Now on Wednesday, on the very same day as the round of 16 fixture, another star name has been ruled out of the Champions League affair: Arjen Robben.

According to German tabloid Bild, the Dutchman, who scored a beautiful curler in the 1st leg tie at Turin, will not feature in the game after falling ill to a virus.

Arjen Robben, Juventus, Bayern Munich, UEFA Champions League

Outgoing manager Pep Guardiola rested his 32-year-old powerhouse in Sunday’s clash with Werder Bremen, which the Bavarians won 5-0, but unfortunately will still not have Robben at his disposal.

As reported by Bild, Arjen sat out on Tuesday’s first-team training session and failed to travel with the squad to the team hotel.

Luckily though, the Bundesliga giants are nonetheless spoilt with choices, as the likes of Kingsley Coman, Franck Ribery and Douglas Costa are all fit and ready to start.
