After their 3-1 win in the first leg of the series, the Sky Blues will try to avoid any surprises when they host Dynamo at Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City faces the chance of making it to the Quarter final stage of the UEFA Champions League for the first time ever when they host Dynamo Kyiv, a team that hasn't been able to win a single game in England. Manuel Pellegrini's men are really interested in winning this tournament, as their chances of winning the Premier League seem to be fading away after a series of not so satisfying results.

Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Touré scored three important goals for Manchester City at Olimpiyskiy Stadium two weeks ago. Sergi Rebrov's Dynamo will try to battle their way into the tournament's Quarter finals by beating their own history, as the white-and-blue side has lost eleven of their 13 matchups against English teams while playing away from home.

Manchester City

The Sky Blues saw their EPL title hopes fade away last Saturday, as they were unable to defeat Norwich City at Carrow Road. Prior to that game, Pellegrini's men had lost four out of their most recent eight matches, including their Capital One Cup draw which eventually led to their penalty shootout win.

After losing their first UCL home game against Juventus, Manchester City defeated Sevilla and Borussia Mönchengladbach, scoring six goals and conceding three. For this game, the Chilean coach will be missing Fabian Delph, Samir Nasri and Kevin De Bruyne, all out due to injury.

Dynamo Kyiv

The Ukrainian team still believes they have a fighting chance to make it to the next round, even if they've never been able to win a single game in football's birthplace. After winning their latest away match against Karpaty, coach Sergi Rebrov will try to enter the team's record books by leading his team to a shocking victory. In order to do that, the former Dynamo player will have to make due without Mykola Morozyuk, who will miss this game with a knee problem. Furthermore, the team's leading scorer and Barcelona target Andriy Yarmolenko is a huge doubt for the white and blue side, which would hurt deeply the team's chances of shocking the Citizens.

Head to head

This will be the fourth match between these two sides, with Manchester City winning two of their meetings. Dynamo's previous visit to the Etihad ended with a 1-0 defeat, thanks to Aleksandr Kolarov's goal.
