Las Palmas wasted a glorious opportunity to score the equalizer against Real Madrid, who had opened the scoring through Sergio Ramos in the first half.

The hosts were awarded a controversial indirect free-kick inside Los Blancos’ box after a Real Madrid defender was judged to have passed the ball back to goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who looked quite nervous at that particular moment. The Costa Rican had no option but to handle the ball inside his own area but the referee blew the whistle to indicate and indirect free-kick.

However, several replays showed that it was actually a Las Palmas player who had the second-last touch before the Los Blancos shot stopper picked up the ball.
