The Arsenal legend now appears to be odds-on favorite to succeed Le Prof as Gunners boss.

Fans may call it déjà vu, even an every season occurrence, as Arsenal’s campaign has taken a turn for the worse despite a bright start similar to seasons past.

On Saturday, Arsene Wenger’s boys travelled to White Hart Lane for the latest edition of the North London Derby, but settled for a 2-2 draw which saw leaders Leicester City move 8 points clear of the Premier League’s third-placed team, all but ending their title hopes.

Furthermore, Alexis Sanchez and Co. are all but out of the Champions League given their 2-0 home loss to the Blaugrana in the 1st leg, which leaves the FA Cup (once again) as their only substantial shot at silverware.

In the wake of the draw with Tottenham, Le Sport 10 have made an interesting claim that Arsenal have already lined up a replacement for their long-serving French manager.

Wenger not sure whether Arsenal are still in the title race after 2-2 Spurs draw

And it is none other than club legend Thierry Henry, with the French news outlet reporting that an agreement is already in place which will see Arsenal’s all-time leading goalscorer succeed Le Prof.

Le Sport 10 cite journalist Karim Nedjari as their source, writing that the L’Equipe reporter said: “One day Henry will replace Wenger.

“His philosophy and ruthless mentality make him the boss. He will leave his comfortable chair [as a pundit] and put on his track suit."

Henry remains a fan favorite – a true understatement to the legions of faithful supporters – despite leaving the club for Barca in 2007, and would thus be welcomed to the Emirates Stadium regardless of his inexperience as a manager.

Unfortunately, although the L’Equipe journalist stated that Thierry would “one day” replace Wenger, a date was never specified, as it remains to be seen whether this will be Arsene’s last season with the London giants.
