Louis Van Gaal’s exit rumors pick up momentum with every disappointing Manchester United result, and after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat away to Sunderland – a first in Premier League history – cries for the Dutchman’s sacking hit a new high.
“Sources close to Jose Mourinho” claimed last week that the Portuguese boss had revealed to friends that he is confident he’ll become the Red Devils boss next season, as per The Sun.

Fast forward to now, and one former English Premier League manager has stated that he has been informed by people “in the know” that the Old Trafford side have already wrapped up a deal for The Special One.
Who is this former manager? It’s none other than ex-Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, making these claims to Sirius XM.
"It hasn't worked out at all for Louis van Gaal at Manchester United," the 68-year-old told the American radio station, as per Manchester Evening News.
"It's been a disaster for him - no doubt about that.
"From the people I know who are in the know, Jose Mourinho to United is a done deal."
This bombshell from Redknapp comes ahead of Manchester United’s Europa League round of 32 clash with Midtjylland.
The 20-time English top-tier champions will make the trip to Denmark for the 1st leg, and will have to do without captain Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini, as both the Englishman and Belgian midfielder were left out of Thursday's squad.
