Borussia Mönchengladbach will welcome Borussia Dortmund to Borussia-Park in an exciting round 18 Bundesliga clash on Saturday, January 23rd. Here are some live TV listings & online streaming options for Borussia Mönchengladbach vs. Borussia Dortmund.

Although it is not a derby clash, any game between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund is certain to be an entertaining affair. Nearly four decades, die Fohlen clashed with die Schwarzgelben on April 29, 1978 in a game that finished as 12-0 for M'gladbach. To date, it is still the highest-scoring result and worst loss a team has suffered in the Bundesliga.

The first meeting of the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign between M'gladbach and Dortmund concluded with a resounding 4-0 win for the latter, but historically, the two sides are pretty evenly matched. In their 87 games played, Borussia Mönchengladbach have won 29 times versus Borussia Dortmund's 30.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

Given that 28 out of their 87 meetings with Dortmund have concluded as draws, it is not too far fetched for another one to take place later today. However, M'gladbach, who were thrashed 4-0 earlier this season, will surely want more than just a point, especially considering how they have impressed since Andre Schubert took over from Lucien Favre this past fall.

M'gladbach have lost six games, but  of those were at the start of the season, when they were on a discouraging downward spiral. Indeed, so excellent have the team performed under Schubert's leadership that only Bayern Munich have earned more points - 31 - than the 29 they have racked up. And they can still boast to be the only side to have defeated Bayern this season, when they shocked the reigning Bundesliga champions 3-1 on December 5th.

The hosts will have to make do without quite a few players due to injury and suspension. For starters, captain Granit Xhaka is banned, having being sent off three times this season already. Schubert will also be missing Patrick Herrmann, Nico Schulz and Andre Hahn as a result of the trio not having recovered from long-term injury problems.

Borussia Dortmund

Last season was a difficult one for Dortmund, who at one point were in the relegation zone. It was a shocking downturn of results for die Schwarzgelben, who not too long ago were champions of Germany, but the club managed to turn their fortunes around in 2015 and have not looked back since. This season, under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel, Dortmund have been simply impressive. With 47 goals so far, they are the highest-scoring side in the Bundesliga and Tuchel's work has attracted its share of admirers, including none other than Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola:

Although they were humiliated in "Der Klassiker" by die Roten earlier this season, this time, Borussia Dortmund are still in contention for the league title. Sitting eight points behind Bayern Munich, they will, of course have to maintain their good form - and hope for some slip-ups from by the Bavarian giants - to have a fighting chance at ending Bayern's hold on the Bundesliga title.

But with the end of the season quite some time away, Dortmund will first hope to bounce back from losing their last league game of 2015 with a win to kick off 2016. Historically, they have fared well in their first game after the winter hiatus with seven wins and four draws; the last time they lost at this juncture was over a decade ago. Against M'gladbach at their home ground, it is an entirely different tale: the last time Dortmund departed with all three points in hand was on October 3, 2009.

Tuchel could be without the services of Sven Bender and Marcel Schmelzer, with the duo still recovering from injury, but Marco Reus - who has had his own injury struggles - is with the squad. Meanwhile, Shinji Kagawa could also return in some capacity after missing out on his team's friendly clash due to illness.
