Zlatan Ibrahimovic asked agent Mino Raiola for an escape route from Barcelona. Now at AC Milan, Ibra is believed to have found back happiness.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not in top form, but he has already scored five goals in five games for AC Milan in all competitions. The ex-Barcelona player is happy at the San Siro, and happy to have left Barca, his agent explained. The Sweden international describe is 2009 transfer from Inter Milan to Barcelona as a dream come true, but a strange relationship with Coach Pep Guardiola and a rather poor goal-scoring record let the player think differently. Adding to his confusion was the Blaugrana’s signing of David Villa before the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

“Ibrahimovic asked me to get him out of Barcelona, because he was ashamed to stay there,” Mano Raiola was quoted as saying in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

For the Rossoneri, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has 5 goals in his name – three of which came in the UEFA Champions League. Things are yet to click perfectly for AC Milan who have now been accused of relying too much on the former Inter Milan striker.

However, Ibra is a confident and happy man at the San Siro. His agent explained while talking to Calciomercato.it:

“I can see that Zlatan is happy, and this makes me content. He is giving a great hand to the team, and since he’s been at AC Milan, he has become very happy.

“He is still not at the top of his game, but he is on the right track. He can give more.”

In the meantime, though, the Rossoneri may have to resume their Italian Serie A campaign against Parma without the services of Ibrahimovic. Reports indicated that the forward might not recover in time from his muscular problem. AC Milan are only 5th in the league and they are yet to record a victory away from home. Will Parma allow them to steal all three points on Saturday night?
